BAT EV Fire Safety are providing an innovative, state-of-the-art fire intelligence system, designed and developed with experienced former firefighters who understand the real-world challenges of lithium-ion battery incidents.

Built on frontline insight and cutting-edge sensor technology, our product delivers proactive, 24/7 detection of thermal runaway, off-gassing, and abnormal heat build-up, long before a fire starts.

This next-generation safety platform empowers operators to protect people, vehicles, and critical infrastructure through early intervention, data-driven decision-making, and automated emergency response integration.

Our dedicated emergency response cabinets provide specialist equipment designed to support fire crews in managing high-risk Lithium-ion battery fires. This specialist equipment is not typically carried by fire services up and down the UK, however it is stocked as part of all of our emergency response cabinets.

Inside each of our cabinets are:

• 2 × 9L Specialist Lithium Battery Fire Extinguishers – Industry-leading technology to rapidly cool and suppress Lithium-ion battery fires
• 3 × Car Fire Blankets (1 to cover the vehicle on fire, and 2 to cover adjacent vehicles to stop spread)
• 1 Ballistic-grade blanket – to contain and isolate a burning vehicle
• 1 Universal Misting Lance with Fire Engine Adapter – allowing fire crews to insert the lance beneath the vehicle and target the battery directly, cooling at the source and help prevent reignition

Our multi-use Ballistic Fire Protection Blanket meets the required standards for:

• BS EN 13501-B-S1-d0 (Fire classification of construction products)
• BS 476 Part 6 and Part 7 Class 1 (Fire propagation and surface spread of flame tests)
• FMVSS 303 (Flammability of interior motor vehicle materials)
• BSEN 20811 (Hydrostatic pressure test)
• FMVSS 302 (Oli repellence/hydrocarbon resistance test)

Fire Protection Blankets

Fire service crews walk towards the vehicle, spread the single-use blanket wide and lift over the vehicle to complete cover it, reducing access to atmospheric gases and contain any flames, smoke and gases. This in effect seals the fire which allows our misting lance to be deployed under the base of the vehicle to cool and reduce the temperature of the battery pack.

With 24/7 optical and thermal monitoring our system identifies the earliest signs of thermal runaway, off-gassing, or abnormal heat build-up, long before a fire starts. When danger is detected, real-time alerts instantly notify emergency teams, enabling rapid response and containment before ignition.

Our 24/7 intelligent monitoring system uses best-in-class detection systems which uses advanced thermal smoke sensors and optical awareness cameras to deliver early warnings of potential risks. Our cameras can track up to 10 standard car parking bays from one camera system, providing a wide range of coverage for your site.

Our state-of-the-art cameras can pick up the slightest increases in temperature. Our system can observe overall/average and increases in temperatures. This allows us to monitor and detect any issues before they become dangerous to staff or assets. Upon a temperature increase being detected an automated early warning is sent to our 3rd party security monitoring provider. These automated early warning alerts can also be sent to your own security team, site management or facility management teams. The camera technology allows us to identify the hottest part of the vehicle which is crucial in detecting the origin of any fire.
